Meet Ashley Lennon Jean-Baptiste: Founder & Director
I’m Ashley Lennon Jean-Baptiste, founder of The Southsea Decorating Company, a trusted painting and decorating business based in Southsea, Portsmouth.
My journey started back in 2007, shortly after serving with the Parachute Regiment in Afghanistan and Northern Ireland. The discipline, precision, and commitment I learned in the forces became the foundation of how I run my company today, with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and attention to detail.
After leaving the army, I spent years working on prestigious residential properties across Fulham, Chelsea, and South West London, gaining invaluable experience restoring and decorating high-end homes and period properties.
In 2016, I relocated to Southsea and launched The Southsea Decorating Company Ltd. Since then, our business has grown to become one of the leading decorating companies in Portsmouth and the South Coast, known for our exceptional craftsmanship, professional service, and beautiful finishes.
We now have a team of eight skilled decorators who work across Southsea, Portsmouth, Winchester, Chichester, and the surrounding areas, delivering everything from luxury interior painting and heritage restorations to large-scale external refurbishments and commercial decorating projects.
At The Southsea Decorating Company, we take pride in every project; whether it’s transforming a single room or restoring an entire building. We use only premium paints and materials, including Dulux Trade, Farrow & Ball, and Little Greene, to achieve long-lasting, high-end results.
